Casa MangoMango has 10 rooms, so we can customize your holiday experience. And we really offer something for everybody, hence the eclectic mix of guests, which we're sure you will enjoy. Singles, couples, families and backpackers from a wide range of nationalities all enjoy being together in our vast house.

Each spacious, high-ceilinged room has a unique Brazilian theme: Folklore, Afro-Brazil or Music. All offer comfortable beds, ceiling fans and airy windows. Some have spectacular views over downtown Rio and Niteroi. Most have new private bathrooms and cable TV.

Wireless internet is available throughout the house FREE OF CHARGE.

For those on a tight budget, we also offer spacious, airy dormitory accommodation with comfortable bunk beds. Better value for backpackers - in terms of quality, comfort and value for money - than any hostel we know.

A sumptuous buffet breakfast is included in the price for all guests. Again, feedback from guests suggest it's the best around.

Please note that any deposits paid are fully refundable up to 72hrs before arrival during the regular off-season, or 1 month before arrival during the New Year's Eve and Carnaval high seasons, after which point there will be no funds returned.

This beautiful, spacious top floor bedroom has spectacular views over downtown Rio, Niteroi and the landmark Arcos da Lapa. Luxuriate there all day - with the windows open you know you are in Rio! Includes:

This is a high-ceilinged, large room with its own private patio. Painted in bold colours, it is decorated using a indigenous Amazonian theme.

Suite 7 (Dona Maria ) BRL $130

Dona Maria is your atypical Brazilian who fills her house with objects ranging from religious effigies and statues to an assortment of plastic items. This is a cozy room and the decor is bright, fun and interesting.

This room has been dedicated to a selection of the good and the great writers and poets that have come out of Brazil and what a choice there is! The room is large with cool slate tiles on the floor and private bathroom.

Rio de Janeiro is famous for its samba and chorinho (little cry) music. This room tells us a little bit about this music, the instruments and some of the great people who devised and played in these two genres.

A small sitting room beneath a larger, impressive loft with cute porthole windows, highlight a few remarkable Brazilian films and directors that have emerged over the last 50 years.
